Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Awareness training
This course is targeted at operators, maintenance staff, drivers, shop floor and support staff whose involvement in
HACCP requires them to be aware of its components, but not its technical applications. It covers the Principles of
HACCP and the importance of accurate monitoring, record keeping, corrective actions and GMP. Course can be run
as a two hour or half day course.
HACCP Validation & Verification
This course outlines validation and verification activities including planning, data collection, assessment of effectiveness, reporting, internal/external audits, that apply to food safety programs. It also covers the regulatory
framework.

How to Conduct a Recall
It is a course designed to clearly define those validation and verification activities that a food business is required
to have in place in order to demonstrate effective control of their manufacturing processes. This includes:
- Communicating a Recall Situation, Who must be contacted?, The Media, Who to notify and when?
- The Company, Product Traceability and Identifying the cause of the problem
- The Public, handling complaints, what to do about the problem – contamination, criminal interference & falsified claims
- Legal requirements during the recall proceedings
AFS is a registered training organisation (RTO) through VETAB to provide national competencies from the Food Processing; Hospitality Retail; and Health Care Training Packages (selected courses) relating to Food Safety and Food Safety Supervisor requirements as applicable.
