Advancing Food Safety (AFS) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and registered with VETAB to provide national competencies from the Food Processing Training Package. AFS was established over 16 years ago and in that time have built the reputation as leaders in Food Safety and HACCP training for the Food Industry. Our knowledge and experience is comprehensive in all aspects of the Agri-food sector, with a combined experience of over 100 years. We provide food safety training to clients across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific. |

The Allergen Bureau was established in 2005 as an initiative of the Australian Food & Grocery Council Allergen Forum, and operates within the Australian Food Safety Centre of Excellence on a membership basis. The overall objective of the Allergen Bureau is to share information and experience within the food industry on the management of food allergens to ensure consumers receive relevant, consistent and easy to understand information on food allergens. Each year the Allergen Bureau has been held conferences to address a variety issues relating to managing food allergens in the industry. Previous years programs are available at www.allergenbureau.net.
The Allergen Bureau is pleased to announce our 2010 industry conference will focus on the theme: Towards Consistent Food Labelling.

Food Innovation, Product Development & Compliance Workshop

This year's workshop will include interactive discussion sessions covering modern product innovation and development protocols. The number of companies obtaining a wide range of certifications and the increase in supermarket branded products have changed the face of product development to include a wide range of compliance requirements. Delegates will have the opportunity of interacting with expert speakers during the days’ proceedings. This workshop is organised by FTAA in conjunction with Advancing Food Safety Pty Ltd.
Presenters include: Peter Bush (FTAA), Catherine McKean (Food Focus), Christa Lingham (Lingham Foods), Tony
Zipper (FTAA) and Bill McBride (AFS).
Attendees will come from a wide range of interested parties involved in the development process at all levels – i.e. ingredient suppliers, food manufacturers, technologists, marketers, quality and legislative compliance practitioners.

17th Australian HACCP Conference

The 17th Australian HACCP Conference will be held on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th August. This year the Conference Package also incorporates the SQF Conference to be held on Thursday 26th August at the same venue.
On Monday and Friday of that week there will be workshops and training sessions.
The Australian HACCP Conference is the premier discussion forum for all food industry professionals involved in food safety. Each year the conference attracts a loyal following together with a growing number of delegates involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of food safety programs.
About the SQF International Conference (26th August)
This will be the fifth SQF International Conference and the first outside of North America. The SQF Institute is a Division of the US-based Food Marketing Institute (FMI), and manages the SQF 1000 and SQF 2000 supplier codes. The SQF
codes have seen considerable growth internationally over the past twelve months, and this conference will showcase retailers, suppliers and other stakeholders from both sides of the Pacific outlining case studies and developments in the
SQF Program.
